From the Photographer: This set of three images is a selection from my “Other Realities’ Series. Where I seek to find beauty in everyday objects. A Hanging Branch, a #Rankenhand and a Dancing Feather all come together in a triptych that informs the viewer about my love of light, texture and space. Printed on Museum Etching paper where the texture of the paper enhances the over all aesthetic. For me this simple way of seeing and whimsical way of expressing myself is an important part of my being.

About the Photographer: Jackie Ranken is a Canon Master, a Grand Master of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and Grand Master of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography. She has been a professional photographer for 35 years and an international awards judge for 15 years. In Australia she has been awarded AIPP Photographer of the Year, three times AIPP Landscape Photographer of the Year and NSW AIPP Photographer of the Year. In New Zealand she has twice been awarded the NZIPP Professional Photographer of the Year, twice NZIPP Creative Photographer of the Year and three times NZIPP Illustrative Photographer of the year and five times the NZIPP Landscape Photographer of the Year. She was also runner up in the World Press awards for documentary photography. Jackie is co-director of the Queenstown Centre for Creative Photography with her husband Mike Langford.
