Allows the GoPro HERO3 and HERO3+ to be powered externally
Description
This version of the GoPro Regulator Cable with PowerTap from Switronix is 3' in length. It allows the GoPro HERO3 and HERO3+ action cameras to be powered from PowerTap sources such as professional video battery systems. A built-in regulator allows the GoPro to safely power from 8 to 24VDC sources.
The cable connects to the GoPro via a DC coupler, which locks in place where the battery would normally go -- as opposed to alternatives which rely on the camera's USB port and are more prone to coming loose. In addition to the naked camera, this cable can be used with the Skeleton Housing or the Underwater Housing if the Skeleton back door is used, however the system will not be fully water-tight.
