Wide Focus Stereo Monitor , 2 Channel Active, 2 x 100 LF Watts rms, 2 x 100 Watt HF rms, Carbon Membrane, 28mm Neodyme HT, Includes Acoustic Wings and Channel Separator, 380x380x300 21Kg
The OWL Monitor system is the most advanced monitoring system available and is based on the EmbracingSound™ technology, patents held by the Swedish company Embracing Sound Experience™ AB.
With the mini-OWL and the OWL System EMES goes beyond the conventional speaker set up which always introduces artefacts in the "sweet spot" that the sound engineer have to live with.
The EmbracingSound™ system comprises the ESE™-processor and the transducer system. Instead of reproducing a left and right signal from two wide spread loudspeakers, a single loudspeaker box is used. With this technology it is now possible to experience the definition capabilities of a proper stereo signal and perceive all the information in the recording.
The EMES OWL System is a 2-channel 2 way active system using the EmbracingSound™ technology to reproduce a 180-degrees wide "embracing" image from one box. The active system delivers 4 x 120W peak power to the two woofers and the two soft dome neodymium tweeters.
The OWL System is a unique studio monitor design from EMES using the patented Embracing Sound Experience System™. The ESE (Embracing Sound Experience) System™ allows the reproduction of a sound image from a single enclosure. This eliminates artifacts such as acoustic crosstalk, extensive comb filtering, etc., introduced by any left/right mono-speaker configuration.
The ESE System™ is based on the discovery that the human sense of hearing can recreate the acoustic image, which up to now, manufacturers have attempted to reproduce using two separately positioned speakers. Suddenly, stereo is no longer just a question of left and right, but also of foreground and background. We all know that the recorded sound already contains the directional information that the brain needs. The removal of time and phase faults, by placing the speakers together, makes listening more restful and allows the listener to hear a high resolution image from any point in the room.
The Owl System is compatible with Stereo, Mono, Dolby ProLogic, Dolby Digital, DTS, Roland RSS and Q-Sound formats. An OWL System also can easily replace a complete (L/C/R) front channelconfiguration in a surround sound set up.
