Description

The SKYRIS 274M 1.25" Monochrome CCD Eyepiece Camera from Celestron is a high resolution digital imaging system that allows you to capture 1600x1200 resolution astronomical images in as fast as 0.0001 of a second. Using the Sony Super HAD ICX274 monochrome CCD sensor and connecting to a computer by USB 3.0, images download at up to 20 frames per second. It is also backward compatible with USB 2.0, but download speeds will be slower. The fast download speed of USB 3.0 allows you to gather more images in less time. This is ideal if the weather and atmospheric conditions are fluctuating and you have limited time for imaging. Use it by itself, to capture black and white images, or attach your filters for custom-coloured images. Whether you're looking at the Moon, Mars, or the rings of Saturn, the SKYRIS 274M takes your view of the sky and makes it available for everyone to see.

The included iCap software for Windows lets you control the camera, snap pictures or create a movie file, and export them. An integrated stacking programme in iCap lets you automatically filter the best images and stack them to create the perfect Composite celestial picture.
