Description

The Special Edition COSMOS 60AZ Alt-Az Refractor Telescope from Celestron features a refractor-style optical design for viewing the planets and the Moon. The optical tube assembly (OTA) has the COSMOS eye nebula graphic, and includes a complimentary 1-year membership to the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA). The IDA is a non-profit organisation dedicated to reducing light pollution, and a portion of the proceeds from this scope benefit this cause.

The OTA is attached to a manual Alt-Az mount with an adjustment handle that makes panning and tilting it quick and easy, with less vibration. There is a clutch to disengage the axes, allowing you to find your subject faster. An adjustable steel tripod is included and requires no tools for setting it up. Two included Kelner eyepieces produce 70x and 35x magnification and accept most 1.25" filters. A permanently mounted red-dot finderscope is provided to make finding your subject easier, and a 90° star-diagonal makes viewing more comfortable.
