Røde Microphones is a uniquely Australian owned and operated audio company. Based in Sydney, just 20km west of Sydney's downtown area and right near the home of the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
State-of-the-Art Plant
Comprised of three warehouses with a total footprint of over 110,000 square feet, the RØDE state-of-the-art plant has over 60 million dollars in precision machinery and an international team of more than 250 people across highly skilled disciplines: electrical engineering, industrial design, technical engineering, metal production, toolmaking, logistics, assembly, quality control, finance, marketing, and sales.
Global Presence
As well as the main campus in Sydney, Rode have offices in Los Angeles, New York, London, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Seoul; with a Tokyo office due to open later in 2017. The extensive distributor and 4000-strong dealer network ensures RØDE Microphones are sold in 113 countries – and growing – making RØDE a truly global company.
50th Anniversary
2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the parent company Freedman Electronics’.

Originally released by Røde in 2004, the Rode videomic range has become one of the top-selling categories of mics for DSLR filmmakers.
Podcasting Technology
In 2007, shortly after the term "podcasting" was coined, RØDE released its first dedicated podcast product called The Podcaster. In this decade of growth and development in podcast technology, many pros and practically-minded beginners alike have praised products like Procaster™️ and NT-USB for their performance quality and versatility. But 2018 marked a game-changer with the release of yet another revolutionary product from RØDE: introducing the world's first Podcasting Console - the RODECaster Pro! This fully integrated audio production studio made it easy to record that perfect-sounding podcast right away—ushering in an entire new chapter within this company’s tech journey. Wireless Microphones and Flagship Mics
At the start of this decade, RØDE had already established themselves as a leading pro in wireless microphones. But they didn't stop there; the 2010s saw groundbreaking game-changing tools like Wireless GO and flagship mics TF5 VideoMic NTG & NTG5 make their debuts. As we enter 2020, that same innovative spirit continues - with more powerful tech such as Wireless Go II (now an industry standard for content creators ) and RODE Video mic GO II.
NT-USB+ and Future Releases
