Description

The Roland M200i 32-Channel Digital Mixer with S-1608 Digital Snake Kit is a sound reinforcement solution that provides a comfortable mixing environment with 24 analogue inputs, 12 analogue outputs, and a stereo digital output (AES/EBU), and is bundled with a digital snake with 24-bit/96 kHz audio quality. It can be used for several applications such as bands, corporate A/V events, seminars, rental and staging houses, houses of worship, broadcasters, and more.

The M-200i 32-Channel Live Digital Mixing Console from Roland is a V-Mixer with 24 analogue inputs, 12 analogue outputs, and stereo digital output (AES/EBU), all built-in to the main unit and it is ready to perform out of the box. It can be used in sound reinforcement applications such as rehearsals, live stage, theatre, houses of worship, and more.

The basics of any mix starts with good channel processing and all input channels are equipped with two dynamics processors and 4-band parametric equalisers. The Main, 8 Aux and 4 Matrix output busses are also equipped with a compressor, 4-band parametric AEQ, limiter, and delay.

The M-200i features 17 motorised faders, dedicated buttons and knobs for key functions, and can interface with an iPad (sold separately) as a large touchscreen display. Use the iPad for intuitive control of effects and other graphical manipulation, while physically controlling the volume with the motorised faders.

In addition, the M-200i incorporates a built-in REAC port that allows you to expand using any other device from the REAC family including Personal Mixers and/or Multi-channel Recorder/Player technology (sold separately).

The S-1608 16x8 Stage Unit Digital Snake System from Roland is a small format audio snake solution that offers 24-bit/96 kHz audio quality. It can be used in applications for bands, corporate A/V events, seminars, rental and staging houses, and broadcasters who need the best possible sound quality from their audio without the high-frequency losses and bulk of an analogue snake.

The S-1608 features 16-XLR microphone preamps with 48V phantom power and 8 XLR outputs. There is one digital output connector, an REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Communication) output connector, an RS-232C, and DB-9 output connectors built into the unit.

Connections to the microphone preamps are made on stage where it is controlled using the S-4000R (sold separately), or the free PC/Mac RCS software. The audio is then amplified and converted at the closest point to the sound source and sent using Cat5e cables to the front of house mixer instead of using large multi-core copper cables. As a result, the S-1608 Digital Snake system is immune to the hums and buzzes caused by electrical noises inherent in analogue snakes.

Features

Hybrid Surface that Combines an iPad with a Physical Controller
The iPad functions as a latouchscreenreen display. Use the iPad for intuitive control of effects and other graphical adjustments, while physically controlling the volume with the motorised faders. The advanced "Touch & Turn" surface provides a more convenient mixing environment than ever before by allowing you to touch a control on the iPad and control it with a physical knob

All Functions Required for High-End Live Audio Production
The M-200i has a comfortable mixing capacity with its 32 channel inputs + Main/8 AUX/4 Matrix outputs. Despite its compact size, the M-200i ensures a comfortable 32 channel input mix capacity. The output has the full specifications of Main (LR)/8 AUX/4 Matrix, which supports many mixing applications. Any of the built-in 24 analogue inputs, the 40x40 channels on the REAC port, the effect outputs, and USB memory recorder can be assigned to the 32 channels

Effect Types
Stereo Reverb, Reverb+gate, Delay X 2, Long Delay, Multi Tap Delay, Cross-modulation Delay, Stereo Chorus, Stereo Flanger, Stereo Phaser, Channel Strip X 2, Pitch Shifter X 2, GEQ, Stereo Flanger SBF-325, Phase Shifter SPH-323, Dimension D SDD-320

Built-in USB Memory Recorder for Uncompressed WAV Recording
Any two of the Main/8 AUX/4 Matrix outputs can be recorded as a 16-bit, uncompressed WAV file by inserting a USB memory stick in the back panel. WAV files stored in USB memory can be also be played from any input channel. In addition, the USB memory can be used for saving/loading configuration files on the M-200i

REAC Technology
The REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Communication) protocol is a low-latency, high-quality 24-bit/ 96 kHz audio transport protocol used by the S-1608. It allows the Digital Snake's signal to be "split" to as many positions as required, such as monitor, broadcast, and recording splits using the S-4000D or any standard gigabit Ethernet switch (sold separately)

High-Resolution Sound Quality
By placing high-quality mic-pres on stage, the sound is amplified and converted at the closest point to the sound source, providing the best possible quality audio. The mic preamps can be controlled using the S-4000R (sold separately) or the free PC/Mac RCS software. By using Cat5e cable instead of large multi-core copper cable, the S-1608 Digital Snake system is immune to the "hums and buzzes" caused by electrical noise, ground issues, and the high-frequency losses inherent in analogue snakes

For Monitoring, Broadcasting, or Recording Applications
With the S-1608 Digital Snake system, the source audio can be digitally split using the S-4000-SP (sold separately) or any standard Ethernet switch. The loss-less digital splits can be routed over CAT5 cable to a monitoring console or a broadcast truck for recording
