The Sachtler 4188 two stage aluminium tripod is targeted for ultralight DV camcorders with its proven Touch & Go system enabling fast changeovers from the tripod to the shoulder within a matter of seconds. Dural aluminium, an alloy employed in the manufacture of aircraft landing gear, is used for the leg tubes and ensures great strength and reliability at a lower cost than carbon fibre. For shooting on hard surfaces, or interiors, the tripod legs accept available ground level or mid-level spreaders,
