Samson Graphite 25 - USB MIDI Keyboard Controller with Trigger Pads

Description

The Graphite 25 from Samson is a 25-key USB MIDI controller featuring a semi-weighted keyboard, housed in a compact, lightweight form. The keys are velocity sensitive and respond to aftertouch, as are the four trigger pads that can be used for triggering drum sounds or other samples. Additionally, the keyboard includes a regular MIDI output, sustain pedal input and USB connections.

Dedicated transpose and octave buttons extend the keyboard's range. Individual modulation and pitch wheels allow for a wide range of musical expression and tone manipulation. For full control of a DAW and virtual instruments, the controller features a programmable master volume fader, eight encoders and four function buttons, all customizable and programmable on-the-fly without the need for editor software. The large LCD screen displays the behavior of every function in real-time. Up to three zones can be programmed across the keyboard for creating splits and layering sounds. This allows for different sounds to be assigned to different sections of keys. The four large velocity-sensitive trigger pads can be assigned to various functions, including creating drum beats, cuing one-shot samples, or start and stop sequences. With the press of a button, a separate, second bank of triggers becomes available.

When combined with an optional iPad and Apple's iPad Camera Connection Kit, the keyboard becomes an excellent solution for portable music making. In this scenario, the Graphite 25 can be powered by the iPad. Bundled with the keyboard is Native Instruments' KOMPLETE ELEMENTS software, offering a comprehensive selection of sounds, effects and tools for modern music production, composition and sound design. With over 3GB of samples, the software provides more than 1,000 sounds and three player engines.
