Description

The Panasonic GH5 Cage with Offset Shoulder Mount System from SHAPE is a camera rig support that allows for handheld, as well as shoulder-mounted, video shooting. It includes a cage specifically designed for the Panasonic LUMIX GH5 camera, a REVOLT top handle grip, a quick release baseplate, a mini composite shoulder pad, an adjustable 15mm rod bloc system, a pair of 18"(45.7 cm) long 15 mm rods, a quick handle with rod bloc, and an offset bracket. The cage is made from CNC Machined aluminium and wraps securely around the camera body, preventing unwanted rotation while providing numerous 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads and an HDMI cable protector lock. The setup also features a support bracket for the Metabones EF adapter.

The SHAPE Cage with 15mm Lightweight Rod System for Panasonic GH5 includes a form-fitting cage, REVOLT top handle grip, quick release plate, adjustable Rod Bloc system, and a pair of 10"(25.4 cm) 15 mm rods. The cage wraps securely around the GH5 camera body, preventing unwanted rotation while providing an abundance of 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads. The camera is fixed to the cage by a 1/4"-20 screw under the unit, and the position is secured with the back and sides of the cage, so it will not move forward when equipped with a heavy lens.

The cage provides quick and easy access to the lens release button, battery door, and memory card. It features an open access on top for mounting accessories to the GH5's electronic hot shoe. A second built-in shoe on the side offers an additional accessory mounting point. The cage is designed to be compatible with the micro-HDMI cable protector lock on the side, to secure the use of your HDMI cable. The adjustable Rod Bloc system allows for optimal adjustment of your camera's optical centre. Its travel height can be adjusted with the help of an Allen key. The included 10"(25.4 cm) rods can be inserted into the Rod Bloc system to attach more equipment.

The REVOLT top handle provides a comfortable grip on your camera and can be quickly inserted or removed with the built-in shoe attachment. The frame is made from robust aluminium, and the grip from Canadian maple wood for maximum comfort. The top handle is also threaded with multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw threads for mounting accessories. This rig system can be used as a table stand or can be attached to a tripod, thanks to the quick release baseplate. The baseplate features a removable support bracket for the Metabones EF adapter. In the absence of a Metabones adapter, the 1/4"-20 screw is captive so you don't have to remove it from the cage when sliding the bracket from under the cage.

The Shape Quick Handle + Rod Block is a professional video stabilisation accessory with 2 camera handles, each providing an individual rotation angle of 360°. You can attach the handle to the camera platform using a simple screw knob. A simple push button located at the articulation allows easy attachment and removal.

Combined with the anodised aluminium Rod Block, the Quick Handle offers composite camera support for all 15 mm rods. You can achieve precise positioning by sliding the Quick Handle along the rods and tightening the small red knob located on the Rod Block. With 2 screw-threaded holes, the Rod Block provides for attachment of components such as the Quick Handle.

The SHAPE Mini Composite Shoulder Pad is a comfort-padded and comfort-shaped shoulder pad for the back of your camera rig. Outfitted with a 15 mm-mount SHAPE Rod Block, the pad attaches right onto a pair of 15 mm rods, slides into the best position on them, and tightens in place by a quality lever. It also has a black Screw Knob under which you can add a SHAPE Counter Weight or a SHAPE Back Pad, both optional and both back-supported accessories that work as extensions of the shoulder pad. The Screw Knob's screw is a 1/4"-20 screw. If you remove the Screw Knob, you'll have yourself a 1/4"-20 screw-hole to add various 1/4"-20-mount accessories into.
