SHAPE ROD2 Paparazzi Riser/15mm Rod System

Description

Use the SHAPE Paparazzi Riser/15 mm Rod System as a base to attach accessories to your DSLR or small camcorder. This system displaces the weight of accessories from the camera to the rods/riser. The Paparazzi riser adds 2" (5.08 cm) to the camera height while its mounting-screw slot allows for up to 4" (10.2 cm) of front-to-back adjustment. The 15 mm rod system offers thumbscrew-locking 8" (20.3 cm) rods with Allen key vertical adjustment (up to 1.375"). This riser/rod system can work with various on-camera accessories such as a lens support, matte box, lens adapter, or follow focus.

The Paparazzi Riser from SHAPE is a 2" (5.08 cm) fixed-height camera riser offering either parallel or perpendicular camera support. The riser's top surface includes a 4" (10.2 cm) sliding screw slot that enables the camera to be adjusted front-to-back or side-to-side, depending on the riser's orientation. This Paparazzi Riser features several 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes. The hole located on the base is used to attach the riser to a camera support, while the front and rear holes can be used to attach various accessories such as a sliding rod block.

The Paparazzi Riser is suited for use with small camcorders and DSLR cameras. Constructed of CNC-machined, anodised aluminium, this riser is the common component of all SHAPE Composite camera support systems.

The Shape 15 mm Rod System provides support for rod-mounted accessories such as matte boxes, lens adapters, lens supports, and follow focus mechanisms. By supporting these accessories, the system transfers additional weight away from your lens. The 15 mm Rod System is composed of a Sliding Rod Bloc and a pair of 15 mm aluminium rods. The rods' threaded female ends enable the attachment of 1/2"-13–threaded extension rods (not included).

This system can be easily attached and removed from the front of the camera using a 4 mm hex key (not included). The 15 mm Rod System uses a small thumb lever for horizontal adjustments of the bracket along the rods. The same 4 mm hex key can be used to adjust the bracket up to 1 3/8" vertically to correspond to the height of the accessory. This system features an aluminium bracket and aluminium rods with stainless steel screws.
