SHAPE Shoulder Rig Bundle for Sony FS7 Cameras

Description

Gear up your Sony PXW-FS7 or PXW-FS7M2 for cinema production with this Shoulder Rig Bundle from SHAPE. Comprised of SHAPE's V-Lock Quick-Release Baseplate, a telescoping handle with SHAPE's signature rubber grip and button-press adjustments, and a Follow Focus Pro for smooth focus pulls on lenses with 0.8 MOD gearing. The baseplate is the core of the kit, allowing for 15 mm LWS accessories to be mounted, and clips right into a standard VCT-14 tripod plate. When not locked into a tripod, it functions as a cushioned shoulder mount. The included telescoping handle secures to one of the baseplate's rosettes and complements the FS7's existing handgrip for additional stability when handheld. For camera-top accessories, a top cheese plate is included. It fits around the existing top handle to retain all camera functionality. The included 4"(10 cm) rods can be mounted at the rear of the baseplate using the included 15 mm rear rod clamp. See below for more information on the individual items included in this kit.

With SHAPE 's Sony FS7M2 V-Lock Quick-Release Baseplate you can build a 15 mm LWS rig around your FS7 or FS7M2 camera. The included 15 mm rods enable you to mount a matte box, follow focus, lens support or other production accessory. Since the plate is designed for the FS7, correct lens height is ensured for correct accessory clearance. A rear insert plate is included to support the raised rear portion of the FS7 body, increasing the surface area of the camera base.

The mounting points on the bottom of the baseplate itself can secure to a standard VCT-14 quick-release tripod plate. When not locked down, the shoulder pad provides cushioned support for handheld shooting. Touch-fastener on the shoulder pad allows easy removal for cleaning or replacement.

Further handheld options can be introduced using the rosettes towards the front of the baseplate. Separately available handgrips, like the SHAPE Telescoping Handles can be secured directly to the baseplate for increased stability. Separately available 15 mm rods can also be attached at the rear of the plate using the 15 mm Rod Bloc (also available separately).

The Telescopic Handle for ARRI Rosette from SHAPE is a versatile and adjustable handgrip that attaches to an ARRI standard rosette on the left or right side of your camera rig. It offers 1.5" of extension and uses push-button mechanisms on the extension arm and handle for adjusting the height and rotation of the handles to meet your needs and preference. The push-button on the handle is a huge benefit when you want to adjust the angle on-the-fly, without having to remove your hand or set down the rig.

Use the top surface of your FS7 camcorder to mount accessories with this Top Plate from SHAPE . With multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tapped holes, this top plate will accept many standard accessories from magic arms to cold shoe adapters. The U-shape of the plate allows for the original camera handle to remain mounted while the non-flush design prevents over-tightened screws from puncturing the top of the camera casing.

This pair of  Shape 15 mm Aluminium Rods (4") connect into your camera rig, extend it, and let you add various Shape and third-party accessories compatible with 15mm rods. With these two rods and with a few fundamental accessories, you can most certainly even begin building your own rig from scratch.

The rods are each 15 mm in diameter, 4 inches long, hollow, non-threaded, and made of reliable aluminium coated with a clear finish.

The SHAPE Follow Focus Pro mounts on 15 mm rods and features an adjustable arm which puts the gear at the optimal position for the lens, no matter what the diameter is. The unit snaps onto 15 mm rods, allowing for quick attachment, removal, and re-positioning. Two 0.8 pitch gears come included and give you a choice of either 28 teeth or 43 teeth - depending on the throw distance of the lens. Additional features include two adjustable hard stops, removable marking disc, and an industry standard accessory port for using optional whips and cranks.
