SHAPE Sony FS7 Bundle Rig with Follow Focus

Description

This SHAPE F7S Bundle is a starter rig for the Sony FS7 that directly supports the optional Sony Zoom Control via a rosette adapter. It also features a V-Lock delta adapter allowing compatibility with V-Lock tripod adapters, such as the Sony VCT-14 and Panasonic SHAN-TM700. It's also adjustable for matte boxes and supports offset camera mounting brackets. The bundle includes the SHAPE 8000 V-Lock Quick Release Baseplate, Follow Focus Pro, multi-adjustable telescopic handle, and front and rear 15 mm rods.

The baseplate features a long format design for larger cameras and can be used shoulder mounted, tripod mounted, or attached to delta tripod adapters. It includes a removable shoulder pad and offers SHAPE/ARRI standard rosette adapters on both sides. 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tripod mount threads are available underneath the shoulder pad. The front rod adapter can be adjusted vertically to support a matte-box and other accessories. The baseplate has three long camera mount slots, and the off-centre ones support an optional SHAPE 15mm Studio Adapter for offset mounting. Nine 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting threads are located behind the three slots for flexible accessorising.

The Follow Focus Pro features a 15 mm clamp-on mechanism allowing for quick mounting/dismounting and re-positioning. It has an adjustable arm that lets you use any diameter lens, and it comes with two 0.8 pitch gears providing a choice between 28 and 43 teeth, depending on the throw distance of the lens. It also offers two adjustable hard stops and a standard accessory port.

The Telescopic Handle can be extended out 1.5"(3.81 cm) and can also be rotated 360°. The rotating capability allows it to be adjusted for left- and right-handed use. At two points, this handle features SHAPE's push-button technology which allows for instant, precise adjustments.

The included rods are 8"(20 cm) and 4"(10 cm) long.

The SHAPE BP0008 V-Lock Quick Release Baseplate is a long format baseplate for larger cameras like the Alexa, F5, C300, and broadcast cameras. It can be used shoulder mounted, tripod mounted, and attached to V-lock tripod adapters.

The baseplate includes a removable shoulder pad and features rosette adapters for SHAPE and ARRI standard handles. It has 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tripod mount threads and a V-lock delta adapter for attaching to the Sony VCT-14 or Panasonic SHAN-TM700 tripod adapter. The shoulder pad secures on by touch fasteners. The tripod mount threads are located underneath the shoulder pad. 8"(20 cm) and 4"(10 cm) 15 mm rods are included for the front and back.

This baseplate is the same as the SHAPE BP0007 except it is lighter and has a modified rod adapter in front. The reduced weight is the result of a thinner design, and the rod adapter features one ratchet knob instead of two, allowing quicker rod adjustments. For attaching a matte-box and other accessories, the rod adapter can be adjusted vertically if you remove the screw holding it in position. This baseplate also supports optional SHAPE 15 mm Studio and 19 mm Studio adapters in place of the included one.

The baseplate features three camera mount slots, all supporting 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screws. The off-centre slots allow you to mount your camera offset if you use a 15mm Studio Adapter. 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting threads are peppered behind the three slots for attaching articulating arms and other accessories. Two 1/4"-20 and two 3/8"-16 camera mount screws are included. This baseplate is best used with cameras that use external viewfinders.

The SHAPE Follow Focus Pro mounts on 15mm rods and features an adjustable arm which puts the gear at the optimal position for the lens, no matter what the diameter is. The unit snaps onto 15 mm rods, allowing for quick attachment, removal, and re-positioning. Two 0.8 pitch gears come included and give you a choice of either 28 teeth or 43 teeth - depending on the throw distance of the lens. Additional features include two adjustable hard stops, removable marking disc, and an industry standard accessory port for using optional whips and cranks.

The Telescopic Handle for ARRI Rosette from SHAPE is a versatile and adjustable handgrip that attaches to an ARRI standard rosette on the left or right side of your camera rig. It offers 1.5"(3.81 cm) of extension and uses push-button mechanisms on the extension arm and handle for adjusting the height and rotation of the handles to meet your needs and preference. The push-button on the handle is a huge benefit when you want to adjust the angle on-the-fly, without having to remove your hand or set down the rig.
