I have owned older versions of this Speedlite and a Canon and extensively used Nissan. Once you get these set up correctly with the appropriate trigger (a quick, trip to the manual is required, they come from the factory set to a different mode) they are easy to use, have every feature I could ask for (though I'm a confessed manual control freak). They are not too hard on the batteries, are far more mechanically robust (and attractive) than their cheap plastic predecessors) and nothing has broken or 'fallen off' in over 2 years of use. I know I should be using studio strobes, but these work, and can fill a large umbrella or softbox without having to be on full power all the time...even outside. With a recent version of the controller, these are bulletproof. Not literally, but they always trigger, have consistent colour and power output and are extremely portable. The only thing missing is another pair of them...which is why I'm looking here in the first place :) Compared to my Godox studio strobe, they are (just one and an umbrella) powerful enough for a group shot, small enough to have several in one bag and light enough that I can avoid the trip to physiotherapy the big lights gave me. One Canon flash had non of the same features and cost nearly the price of 3 of these.
