The Rycote - G5 Carbon Fibre Boom Pole is compact, lightweight and extends to 2.50m in length. The G5 features 5 sections and the grip-and-twist locking mechanism that was popular on the A5 boompole, and with no metal parts to add to its weight, the new Carbon Fibre G5 Boom Pole combines lightweight construction with great tensile strength. As on the A5, the locking mechanism is designed to be resistant to jamming when the pole is dirty; however, if necessary, the locking collars can be completely stripped down for cleaning in the field if required. The G5's carbon fiber construction and absence of metal parts make it a lightweight solution for location recording, news-gathering and more.
