The BP4073 Line and Gradient Condenser Microphone from Audio-Technica is a lightweight directional shotgun microphone. It can be used to capture audio in various environments for speech and audio applications such as feature film, broadcast TV, or sound for video productions.
The microphone measures 233 mm in length, and weighs 99 g making it ideal for long-term use on a boompole or handheld mount. Featuring a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, a line + gradient pickup pattern, and low noise, the BP4073 shotgun microphone delivers transparent audio reproduction. Also, an 80 Hz hi-pass filter switch minimises low-frequency noise and ambiance, while a 10 dB pad switch provides added headroom when capturing transient (peak) audio signals.
The BP4073 is RoHS compliant, which means it is free from all substances in the EU directive on the reduction of hazardous substances. The microphone is built tuff in a rugged housing made of a lightweight structural-grade aluminium alloy. In addition, it includes an AT8405a stand clamp for a 5/8"-27 threaded microphone stand, a 5/8"-27 to 3/8"-16 threaded adapter, an AT8144 foam windscreen, two rubber O-Rings, and a protective carrying case.
