The Blackmagic Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR Converter is an advanced solution for monitoring in 8K. This convertor allows you to conveniently use pro monitors like the Apple Pro Display XDR as part of your on-set or post-production setup. It features four 12G-SDI inputs that can support either independent 4K signals or an 8K input signal, be it DCI 8K or an 8K video split into four UHD signals. To ensure accurate color alignment, third-party calibration probes such as the SpectraCal C6, X-Rite i1 Display Pro, or Klein K10-A probe can be used. The built-in color LCD screen not only displays the video image, but also offers the option to display two on-screen scopes selected from WFM, Parade, Vector, and Histogram options.
With the Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR Convertor, you can access 8K through the four SDI outputs, single USB-C DisplayPort output, or the two full-size DisplayPort outputs for monitors with quad HDMI inputs. If you're not connected to an 8K monitoring solution, the built-in down-convertor allows for the display of the 8K input video on an Ultra HD or HD monitor. The unit conveniently converts between 2SI and square division automatically. This convertor supports various HDR workflows, including PQ and HLG, as well as Rec. 202 and Rec. 709. It covers 100% of the DCI-P3 format. Additionally, it allows for the loading of two independent 3D LUTs simultaneously, with the ability to switch between them from the unit's front panel. The front panel of the Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR Convertor features a rotating selection knob and six front-panel buttons for easy navigation. It can be mounted on a desktop using the provided rubber feet or supported by the separately available Teranex Mini Rack Shelf.
