New and improved: the Bright Tangerine Canon C400 Top Plate MK II brings quality-of-life changes to our bestselling Canon C400 Top Plate. It features a range of accessory mounting options: 1/4” and 3/8” screw threads as well as QD sockets, MAP M4 points and a 15mm rod console across three modular plates.Made from aerospace-grade aluminium from light weight and high durability, the C400 Top Plate is an essential tool in your filmmaking arsenal.
Clean and Convenient
The C400 Top Plate provides a level plane across the top of your camera, whilst maintaining the C400’s small footprint. You can use the two side plates independently of the 15mm rod console for an even more streamlined rig – though the rod console can’t be used without the mounting point.
Accessible
We’ve repositioned and redesigned some elements of the Top Plate for extended convenience. The QD sockets have been repositioned for use with larger top handles, and the microphone shockmount has been brought in to allow the cable clamp to be fully opened.
Accessory Mounting Freedom
Alongside the stock Canon mounts, the Top Plate also features a range of third-party accessory mounting options. Industry-standard 1/4″ and 3/8” threads line the top plate, as well as MAP M4 points and QD sockets. The front rod console has slots for two 15mm rods for mounting EVFs or lens motors (it can also be inverted for higher clearance from your camera). Two 1/4″-20 points have been marked for use specifically with handles such as our Create Top Handle.
No Filler
To create a complete plate, combine the Top Plate Mk II with our C400 Top Plate Filler Piece, which slots neatly into the central plane of the Top Plate. This full plate offers further customisation options for your camera whilst still keeping the C400 hot shoe free.
