The Harrison Audio MR3eq 500 Series EQ brings the popular 3-band parametric EQ from the classic Harrison Music Recording 3 (MR3) console to the 500 Series format. Equally effective for both tracking and mixdown, the MR3eq’s flexible design and powerful shaping capabilities make it suitable for enhancing a wide variety of source material, while delivering the warm, rich Harrison tone that helped define some of the most iconic albums of the 1970s and 1980s.
Legacy in Analog
Harrison consoles have played a role in creating some of the most respected and influential music in recording history. Michael Jackson, ABBA, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Donald Fagan, and many other legendary artists have relied on Harrison production tools to help craft their multi-platinum albums.
The latest range of 500 Series modules from Harrison captures the sound and features trusted by engineers such as Bruce Swedien, Roger Nichols, and Reinhold Mack to produce music that continues to stand the test of time.
MR3eq EQ Design
The MR3eq is a high-performance analog EQ, built from Harrison’s decades of expertise in equalizer and filter design. Its circuit design allows for highly precise tonal shaping or broad, musical adjustments with significant band interaction, resulting in a rich and colorful sonic character.
3-Band Parametric with HPF
This powerful 3-band parametric equalizer includes low- and high-frequency shelf bands with slopes of 6 dB per octave, which can be switched to a second-order bell response with Harrison’s renowned proportional Q.
The mid-frequency band provides continuously variable Q, while a separate high-pass filter section includes a distinctive 3 dB resonant peak.
