The Manfrotto 577 Rapid Connect Adapter provides a convenient solution for removing your camera from the head without having to detach it from the plate. This adapter comes with the 501PL plate and is also compatible with the 501PLONG camera plate. It includes a 1/4"-20 screw and a 3/8"-16 bushing, allowing you to use the plate with different cameras. Additionally, threaded holes on the side of the adapter enable you to store the unused screw for easy access when needed.
