Designed primarily for Sony cameras equipped with a compatible Multi Interface (MI) Shoe and digital audio interface, the Sony ECM-W5 2-Person Wireless Microphone System is a two-person wireless microphone system built for interviews, video production, live streaming, and content creation. The receiver connects directly to the camera’s MI Shoe for cable-free digital audio recording while also drawing power from the camera. On compatible models, 32-bit float audio can be recorded directly into the video file, helping streamline editing and simplify file management. The system includes two microphone/transmitters, a receiver, a charging case, and a USB-C adapter, while also offering onboard backup recording, wireless headphone monitoring, and timecode synchronisation. In addition to Sony cameras with an MI Shoe, this flexible system can also be used with computers, mobile devices, and cameras that do not feature a Sony MI Shoe.
