It is dedicated to the NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S Macro lens and attaches via a bayonet mount. It also offers protection from accidental impacts to the lens's front element. A dedicated lens hood is designed to match the angle of view of the lens for which it was designed.
