The Nitecore NL1840HP 18650 Li-Ion Battery (4000mAh) has a range of safety features to ensure peace of mind when using and charging the battery. The internal safety features include a microporous barrier to protect internal components, pressure relief valve with activates in the event of rapid temperature increase, built-in PTC and an anode design with high temperature resistance. Externally, the battery has nickel plated stainless steel protectors at both ends, a tough plastic circuit board protector and a durable metallic film to prevent abrasion.
