Sony

128GB SF-G TOUGH Series UHS-II SDXC Memory Card

The Sony 128GB SF-G TOUGH Series UHS-II SDXC Memory Card offers 128GB of storage capacity and uses the UHS-II bus to support advanced DSLR features such as continuous shutter bursts, rapid-fire shooting, and RAW or JPEG image capture. It is also highly capable for video recording, including 8K, 4K XAVC S, 60p AVCHD, 3D, HFR, and Full HD formats. The card delivers read speeds of up to 300 MB/s and write speeds of up to 299 MB/s. With its V90 speed class rating, it guarantees that write speeds will not fall below 90 MB/s.

Built for Extreme Durability

To support use in demanding environments and help protect your data, Sony engineered the TOUGH Series with a rugged design. It can survive drops from up to 16.4' / 5m and withstand immersion in up to 16.4' / 5m of water for as long as 72 hours. It is also resistant to bending, dust, X-rays, magnets, static, UV light, and temperature extremes ranging from -13 to 185°F. Compared to standard SD cards, the TOUGH Series is up to 18 times stronger, rated at 180N instead of 10N. Its one-piece molded design eliminates ribs and the write-protect switch, reducing the risk of physical failures such as cracked casings, broken locks, or damaged connector ribs. If data loss does occur, Sony also provides free File Rescue software to help recover deleted files.

Compatibility and Performance in Different Devices

UHS-II cards achieve their higher speeds through an additional row of pins. Although this card is optimized for cameras that support UHS-II and V90, it can also be used in devices that do not support those standards. In such cases, performance will default to the maximum supported by the host device. That may include UHS-II with V60, which guarantees minimum write speeds of 60 MB/s, UHS-II with V30, which guarantees 30 MB/s, or UHS-I with U3, which also guarantees 30 MB/s. If the device does not support U3, the card remains compatible with U1 and Class 10 standards, both of which guarantee minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s.

General Features

TOUGH Specification Cards

SF-G series TOUGH specification cards are built for reliability. Their one-piece molded body uses high-hardness materials to deliver bend resistance that is 18 times greater than the SD standard. They are also impact resistant for drops up to 16' and provide the highest levels of dustproofing and waterproofing with an IP68 rating.

Fragile Parts Designed Out

Sony improved reliability by eliminating the fragile components found in conventional SD cards, including the ribs and write-protect switch. This design reduces the risk of recording issues caused by breakage.

Superior Water and Dustproofing

The fully sealed one-piece molded construction meets top-tier standards for waterproofing and dustproofing. With an IP68 rating, SF-G series TOUGH specification cards can resist fine dust, mud, grime, and submersion in 16' of water for up to 72 hours.

Ultra-Fast Write Speeds

Burst shooting and high-resolution video capture are enhanced by write speeds of up to 299 MB/s, making this card suitable even for high-performance cameras equipped with a UHS-II interface.

V90 for Capturing High-Resolution Video

Support for the V90 video speed class makes this card ideal for high-resolution video recording. As the highest video speed class rating, V90 guarantees a minimum write speed of 90 MB/s, helping prevent dropped frames or caching issues, even during recording at resolutions up to 8K.

Faster Transfer to PC

Read speeds of up to 300 MB/s allow you to move large files, such as 4K video and high-resolution image sets, to your computer in seconds. That means less waiting and more productivity.

SD Scan Utility

A memory card that suddenly stops saving images can be a major problem. Since all SD memory wears down over time, Sony offers SD Scan Utility to help prevent unexpected failures. This software automatically scans the card and alerts you when it may be time to replace it. It is available for both Windows and Mac.

Reliable in All Conditions

Beyond its industry-leading dustproofing and waterproofing, TOUGH specification cards are resistant to X-rays compliant with ISO7816-1, magnetic fields, UV exposure, and extreme temperatures. At the same time, they maintain wide compatibility with cameras and other SD card readers.

File Rescue

File Rescue is a powerful and user-friendly recovery tool designed to help restore lost data. It is available as a free download for Sony memory card customers.

Backward Compatible with UHS-I

Although the card achieves its best performance in UHS-II compatible cameras, it can also be used in UHS-I compatible equipment. In those devices, it supports read speeds of up to 95 MB/s and write speeds of up to 90 MB/s.
