Description

The Radial Engineering Catapult RX4M Cat5 Snake for Mic-Level Routing is specifically designed to work seamlessly with the TX4M. This unit allows for the transmission of four channels of mic-level signal through Cat5/Cat6 cables, routing them to eight XLR jacks. Among these XLR channels, four are direct outputs and the other four are isolated. This setup is particularly beneficial for live-sound reinforcement applications, where the use of cost-effective cables can ensure high-quality audio connections across large venues and stages. System contractors can also take advantage of the Catapult for distributing audio across various rooms using pre-wired networks.

Featuring two banks of XLR channels, each containing four channels, the Catapult RX4M is equipped to provide phantom power over the direct outputs (with shielded Cat5/Cat6 cables) and eliminate noise issues with mic-level isolation. Additionally, the unit includes two RJ45-type etherCON connections - one for multi-channel input to work with the TX4M on the transmission end, and the other as a throughput for routing signals to additional Catapults.

The versatility of the XLR banks and etherCON throughput allows for audio splitting across multiple sources, fulfilling various requirements. A ground-lift switch is available to tackle noise problems on the Cat5/Cat6 line, while a sturdy steel handle ensures easy transportation. To protect the Ethernet jacks and ground-lift switch from damage, the Catapult is equipped with four bumpers.
