The Radial Engineering Catapult TX4 4-Channel Cat 5 Snake for Audio/AES Routing is a versatile four-channel snake that enables the routing of XLR connections over long distances using Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable. This device ensures minimal signal degradation, making it ideal for live-sound reinforcement applications. Stage technicians can benefit from using affordable cable to establish quality audio connections in large venues. System contractors can also take advantage of pre-wired networks to distribute audio across different rooms.
Featuring four XLR input jacks and four XLR transformer-balanced through-outputs, the Catapult TX4 allows for routing analogue or AES audio to various compatible sources. Additionally, it comes equipped with two RJ45-type Ethercon connections. One serves as an output for connection with the RX4 on the receiving end, while the other can be used as a thru-put for routing signals to additional Catapults. The device includes a ground-lift switch to eliminate noise issues on the Cat 5 line, a steel handle for easy transport, and four bumpers for protecting the Ethernet jacks and ground-lift switch from damage.
