The Really Right Stuff BQDS Bi-Directional Plate for Quick-Detach Strap Swivel mounts to the bottom of a camera via the 1/4"-20 male screw and gives the camera a quick release function. The plate is compatible with any Really Right Stuff and most Arca-type clamps or ball heads.
The bi-directional dovetail design allows the plate to mount in any direction on the ball head or clamp. On the bottom of the screw, there is a Quick-Detach (QD) socket. Therefore, the plate allows a QD Strap Swivel to attach to the 1/4"-20 screw. Since all sides of the plate are equal, it permits the anti-twist flange to mount towards the front or the back of the camera, and the anti-twist flange helps prevent any movement between the camera and the plate. The CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum plate has an anodized Type II black finish, and an index mark is found on the side of the plate, which helps to center the camera on a ball head or clamp.
