The Soundcraft Si Performer 1 Digital Live Console is a 19" rack mountable device that serves as a live sound reinforcement system for various applications such as houses of worship, music venues, theatres, and corporate events. It is particularly valuable in situations where one operator needs to control both the sound and lighting for a performance. This console comes with an integrated DMX controller and supports Soundcraft's ViSi Remote App for Apple iPad, making it easy to manage both aspects of a performance.
The mixer offers 16 recallable mono microphone preamplifiers, 8 line inputs, AES digital I/O, and a total of 80 mix channels. It also includes 20-sub group/aux busses, 4 FX busses, 8 matrix busses, 8 mute groups, 8 VCA groups, assignable insert loops, selectable delay on all I/O, Harman HiQnet integration, headphone monitoring, LCR panning, motorised faders with backlit LED Faderglow visual feedback, and a colour touch screen interface.
Using EMMA DSP processors, this mixer delivers the equivalent of 448 rack units worth of DSP. It features a 4-band fully parametric AEQ, four MX4000-based Lexicon stereo effects engines, and extensive dynamic processing. Its customisation capabilities include assignable faders, assignable patching, and flexible routing. Additionally, the four mix busses have internal Lexicon FX processors for left/centre/right micing, each equipped with a compressor, 4-band fully parametric AEQ, graphic EQs, and delay.
One of the innovative features of this console is its integrated DMX 512 control interface, which enables full automation for simultaneously controlling lighting displays while mixing live sound. It offers a seamless integration between the two aspects of a performance.
The I/O of the mixer can be expanded by using ViSi Connect option cards. These cards provide an additional 128x96 input/output paths through a 64x64 expansion slot and a 64x32 expansion slot. They support various formats such as MultiDigital Card, BSS Digital Audio Bus, Dante, CAT5 or optical MADI, AVIOM, and CobraNet, allowing for integration with other live mixing and multi-track recording environments.
To enhance user experience, the console offers the ViSi Remote iPad control application. This application enables individuals to adjust individual channel strip settings, including AEQ, compressor, Gate, Pan, LR/MONO, and phase invert switches, to optimize the front-of-house mix using an iPad.
