The Canon BP-828 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack works with the VIXIA HF G30 and G10, XA20, and the XA25 camcorders. This replacement battery pack features a capacity of 2670mAh and 7.4V of output power. Small and lightweight, lithium-ion batteries can be charged or discharged at any time without developing memory effect.

The battery takes about 405 minutes to charge via the camcorder, but approximately 260 minutes when using an optional CG-800D battery charger. Charging time will vary depending on the charge state of the battery when you begin charging it and the temperature. The battery should be charged at temperatures between 10 to 30°C, and it will not charge if the ambient or the battery pack's temperature is either colder than 0°C or higher than 40°C.
