The Wharfedale DVP-AX 15" Powered Speaker is an active speaker system designedd to include a power amplifier, which allows you to use the system without the use of external sound amplification devices. In addition, the module includes a crossover that determines the frequency bandwidth both for its own speaker and for the wide-range systems used in the kit. The system power is 600-Watts (RMS) with a maximum value of 1200-Watts, and the sound pressure reaches 130 dB.
With an internal Class D amplifier using fan-less convection cooling, the DVP-AX15B subwoofer delivers power and functionality from a road ready MDF cabinet.
An internal adjustable Low Pass Filter makes connection to other loudspeakers simple and 0° / 180° polarity switching means that phasing issues are no longer a problem.
All heat dissipation is handled by convection cooling. The balanced Hi Pass output makes it simple to connect to a full range model such as the DVP-AX12 or DVP-AX15. To deliver maximum SPL without phase cancellation, a handy polarity switch also ensures that your bass is in phase.
