The dB Technologies INGENIA IG5TR 2-Way Active Column Speaker (3x10") loudspeaker takes the listening experience to a higher level, broadening the possibilities for both live sound applications and fixed installations. With its advanced technology, optimized design, and high-dynamic-range audio performance, the IG5TR delivers the exceptional flexibility that defines dBTechnologies’ column series, enabling powerful, impactful, and precise sound reinforcement in a wide range of scenarios.
Advanced technology
The IG5TR is a 2-way quad-amplified system equipped with advanced beam steering and beamforming technologies that enable highly accurate control of directivity. Its innovative AWG (Asymmetric Waveguide) optimizes vertical coverage across the full frequency range from 930 Hz to 20 kHz, reducing internal turbulence and improving sound distribution for greater clarity and precision. The asymmetrical vertical dispersion concentrates coverage on the lower half, with +20° in the upper section and 55° in the lower section, helping to reduce comb filtering when configuring a headstack of two IG5TR tops.
Directivity and flexibility
The horn features a vertical angle of +20° / -55°, increasing directivity and allowing optimal control of the sound field. The ability to rotate it in +90° / 0° / -90° increments ensures maximum versatility in virtually any application. Advanced directivity control makes it possible to shape and steer the sound beam along the vertical axis using 7 tilt steps, from -10° to +10°, in both standalone and coupled configurations.
Two vertical beamforming options are available exclusively in headstack mode:
Beamforming: In headstack mode only, the sound beam can be widened or narrowed along the vertical axis using narrow or wide settings, with narrow as the default.
Beamsteering: In both headstack and standalone modes, the beam can be shifted along the vertical axis using 7 selectable steps: 10°, 5°, 2.5°, 0°, -2.5°, -5°, and -10°.
High-efficiency amplification
The IG5TR is fitted with a 4-channel Class-D amplifier delivering 400 W per channel, for a total of 1600 W RMS. This amplification module is engineered to maximize output power while matching the electroacoustic chain precisely, ensuring controlled response and dynamic transient performance.
Smart control and connectivity
The integrated DSP, supported by a high-brightness OLED display, enables accurate real-time system monitoring. RDNet connectivity provides full remote management, while the 24-bit/96 kHz AD/DA converters—the first in the Ingenia range to operate at 96 kHz—deliver outstanding audio quality. Firmware updates are straightforward via USB-C or Aurora Net.
SPD (Speaker Position Detection) technology, based on infrared communication, allows paired speakers to automatically detect each other, communicate, and synchronize. The OLED display and meters update in real time, and thanks to the onboard accelerometer, they automatically adapt to the speaker position.
Durable, versatile, modular design
The reversible DRK-IG5 configurable flybar can be easily adapted for extreme tilt angles, both positive and negative. In addition, the adjustable Ground Stack Accessory (GSA-IG5) ensures precise alignment with any subwoofer. A fly-scaff or C-clamp can also be mounted on the flybar for added installation flexibility. The IG5TR also includes a rain cover, ensuring reliable performance even in the most demanding conditions.
