The Black Lion Audio Auteur mkIII 2-Channel Mic Preamp and DI merges contemporary high-speed front-end input stages that capture every transient detail and nuance with output stages equipped with Cinemag transformers to deliver a vintage flair and a rich low end. The 1/4" Hi-Z instrument/line inputs on the front panel enable direct incorporation of console-style warmth to instruments at the input, integration of external effects, or even blending full mixes, all while preserving the integrity of transients.
Each channel provides up to 62 dB of gain, accompanied by 48V phantom power, phase inversion, and a 10 dB pad. The mkIII preamp showcases a quick response and an enhanced gain stage, resulting in reduced noise, decreased distortion, and an expanded frequency response that is well-suited for applications such as vocals, electric guitars, bass, and even drums. Enclosed in a 1 RU, half-rack chassis, this preamp can also be linked to a second half-rack unit via the included connector plate.
