The Blackmagic Media Player is a versatile solution for Thunderbolt computers that is specifically designed for playout to live production switchers or large broadcast systems. The Blackmagic Media Player includes all the necessary features for broadcast playback. It can be placed on the desktop or mounted in a rack using a Blackmagic Universal Rack Shelf. The front panel features an LCD display that provides status information about video, audio meters, input, video standard, and the depth of the record/playback frame buffer. The audio meter can be switched between VU and PPM modes. Additionally, the device is equipped with a headphone socket, speaker, and a speaker enable button. To lock the speaker on, a double press of the speaker enable button is all that's needed.
