The DPA Microphones 6066 CORE Subminiature Omnidirectional Headset Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Sennheiser Adapter (Beige) is a subminiature, lightweight omnidirectional headset microphone with an advanced, fully adjustable stainless steel headset mechanism. The barely noticeable dual-ear design offers a very comfortable wearing experience for presenters and performers, while the tiny 3 mm mic capsule provides broadcast-quality sound that meets the demanding standards of theatre, TV, and live event professionals.
Comfortable and secure fit
The 6066 fits the wearer using 3-point ear grips with spring mechanisms that hold comfortably above and below the ears and to the side of the head for added security. The 2-way adjustable boom system—length and height—features an anti-rotation mechanism that makes it easy to position the tiny 3 mm mic capsule for optimal sound quality. A sliding lock mechanism secures the boom position. In addition, the 90° cable management system protects the cable from stress and routes it down the wearer's back, where it remains out of sight.
CORE technology and audio performance
DPA's CORE technology is at the heart of the electret-condenser capsule, delivering an ultra-low noise floor and wide dynamic range, even though this capsule is 60% smaller than comparable DPA models. With an SPL rating of 144 dB, the microphone is more than capable of handling loud speakers, vocalists, and presenters, delivering clean, transparent, and reliable sound for critical performances and presentations.
Power and included accessories
The 6066 CORE is powered by 5 to 10 V plug-in power from a wireless microphone transmitter and features a modular design using a Microdot output connector. This version includes a locking 3.5 mm adapter for use with wireless transmitters and recorders wired for Sennheiser compatibility. A foam windscreen, protective cover, makeup cover, and carrying case are also included.
