The Electro-Harmonix Neo Mistress Flanger Pedal is a flanger pedal which adjusts the harmonic sweep to present varied tonal density. The pedal features a manual Filter Matrix mode and true bypass. The Feedback control determines how much of the processed signal is fed back to the original, and the Rate knob controls the speed or rate of the LFO signal that modulates the Flanger. When the Rate knob is turned down below the 11 o'clock position (marked by a star near the knob), the Neo Mistress enters Filter Matrix mode, which disconnects the LFO from the Flanger so it is no longer modulated by the Neo Mistress' internal modulation. Turning the Rate knob from full counter-clockwise to the star symbol allows manual modulation of the Flanger's position. You can also fix the Flanger to one setting and, working in conjunction with the Feedback knob, achieve resonant bell tones, steel drum effects, and other unique sounds. Turn the Rate knob above the 11 o'clock position to exit Filter Matrix mode and return to LFO modulation.
The footswitch toggles between bypass and effect modes. When in effect mode, the status LED lights up and changes colour with the position of the Flanger, turning red in the bass range of the sweep, green in the treble range, and orange in between the ranges.
The unit runs on the included 9V battery or an optional US9.6DC-200BI power supply.
