  • 80 Seconds of the Highest Quality License & Revenue-Protecting Delay

The Eventide BD600W+ Profanity Delay with WheatNet-IP Connectivity & Extended Remote provides an unprecedented 80 seconds of the highest quality license and revenue-protecting delay - twice as much as other delays. It gives you the ability and flexibility to customise the delay buffer length from 4 seconds on up to the full 80 seconds. It includes a "DUMP" function that's familiar to all professional radio engineers. Dump can be customised in ½-second increments up to 10 seconds. Whenever the DUMP button is pushed, only a single segment is deleted. as an example, if the device is set to the full 80 seconds of delay buffer, and set up to provide 8-second dumps, you'll get 10 separate dump segments. Pressing the DUMP button the first time will cut out one 8-second segment, still leaving you with 72 seconds of delay protection. If this is followed by additional trash-talk or other problematic dialog, just push the DUMP button again and you'll still have over a minute of delay protection.

It also features a "sneeze" button which momentarily "edits" audio entering the delay, and allowing the host to sneeze, cough, or make a short comment and not be heard on air - and still avoid dead air. Your station can't afford to work without this safeguard. With the BD600W+, you won't have to worry about running out of delay memory.

As well as the fully-integrated BD600W+ which includes an the optional factory-installed upgrade, a W-Upgrade field upgrade kit (soldering is required) is available from Eventide (sold separately) for BD600s manufactured in 2011 or later.

It includes a MicroPrecision Delay™ mode that allows up to 20 seconds of delay adjustment in real time, and in 100 nanosecond increments.

For HD stations and stations upgrading to HD, the capability to provide a high-quality subsample adjustable delay for synchronising analog and digital is considered the "holy grail" for maintaining a seamless listener experience. MicroPrecision Delay can be adjusted on-air, and ramped in and out for clean transitions without audible artefacts.

And as if 80 seconds of delay protection weren't enough, it also includes a secondary backup called PANIC. What this does is play a .WAV file that's already stored on a compact flash card; and while this file - a jingle, ID, or some other message - is being played, delay is being built-up in real time, letting programming continue in safety as soon as the jingle is over. This can also be implemented for painless entry into delay.

This device not only shows an exact digital readout of delay time, but additionally includes a "quick read" bar graph which can instantly confirm "you're safe" at a glance. The unit comes equipped with analog XLR-type inputs and outputs, as well as AES/EBU digital audio inputs and outputs. All front panel switches (except "configure") can be remoted, as can the status indicators. Both RS-232 in and out are included; 16 assignable remote inputs and outputs are available as WheatNet-IP GPIOs.
