The Laowa Proteus 2x Anamorphic 100mm T2 Lens is a compact and slender lens designed for capturing high-definition video. It is compatible with cameras featuring S35+ sensors, such as the ALEXA 35 and RED V-RAPTOR. With a focal length of 100mm and interchangeable PL and EF lens mounts, this lens offers versatility. It has an aperture range of T2 to T22, allowing for a deep depth of field. The lens also features 10 iris blades, enabling a shallow depth of field and soft bokeh. By utilizing a 2x anamorphic squeeze, it captures a distinctive vintage, cinema-style anamorphic look. Additionally, with the optional 1.4x full-frame expander adapter, the Proteus lens can cover a full-frame sensor.
The lens has a minimum focus distance of 39" and provides anamorphic qualities like high contrast, amber lens flares, and a horizontal field of view measuring 29.1°.
