The f/1.7 maximum aperture enables working in difficult lighting conditions, and also offers greater control over depth of field. Benefitting working in strong lighting conditions, a multilayered coating is used to reduce flare and ghosting for greater contrast and colour accuracy. This manual focus lens permits working with subjects as close as 4.6cm away, and a printed focusing scale aids with pre-focusing techniques.
