With a density of 1.8 to 2.7, it darkens the entire image, enabling you to capture photos with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed. Rotating the front filter ring allows you to easily control the level of density, assisting in determining the necessary exposure length. By adjusting the exposure time or aperture, you have the ability to control depth of field and capture motion more effectively. The front ring features visible markings denoting the different stop values, ensuring consistent and repeatable density settings. Additionally, the ring includes side knurlings for swift and precise adjustments. To guarantee consistent exposures, the front ring is designed to prevent any rotation beyond the stop values that are etched on it.
To enhance clarity and color accuracy, this filter is made from Schott B270 glass. It includes 15 layers of anti-reflection coatings on each glass surface to minimize internal ghosting, reflections, and further enhance clarity and color accuracy. The filter is also coated to resist oil, static, and scratches, which provides extra protection and helps to keep the filter clean for a longer period of time compared to uncoated filters.
