The Neumann MCM 114 SET DRUMS Cardioid Miniature Clip-On Microphone System is specifically designed for discerning musicians, engineers, concert venues, equipment rental houses, and event-production companies. This pro-grade instrument microphone excels in close miking applications for snare drums, toms, stand toms, timpani, and percussion instruments. Utilising Neumann's renowned electret technology, it is capable of capturing an impressive maximum SPL of 153 dB, allowing for accurate capture of both loud and soft instruments without introducing distortion or self-noise. The mic securely attaches to the instrument and can be used with both wired and wireless setups, supporting both traditional XLR mic preamps for studio recording and wireless transmitters for live performances on stage.
The MCM 114 SET DRUMS system includes a KK 14 cardioid capsule head, a flexible 6" gooseneck, and an MC 7 clip for easy mounting of the gooseneck onto the instrument. It also comes with an AC 31 cable featuring 3.5mm locking connectors, allowing for seamless connection between the capsule and either the included MCM 100 48V phantom-powered XLR output-stage module or the locking mini-jack input commonly found on Sennheiser wireless transmitters. The modular construction of the system ensures durability and longevity, meeting Neumann's high standards. Each MCM system is meticulously assembled by hand in Germany, ensuring exceptional tonal consistency, as well as the iconic Neumann aesthetics and quality.
