Because faster shutter speeds can be used without increasing ISO sensitivity even in low-light situations, high-quality images with minimized image blur or noise can be reliably captured. In addition to Nano Crystal Coat, employed for high-performance NIKKOR lenses including the AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED, the ARNEO Coat anti-reflection coating system is adopted for this lens. Since Nano Crystal Coat is effective for incident light from a diagonal direction and ARNEO Coat handles that from a vertical direction, ghost and flare are minimized when these coatings are utilized together, regardless of the direction from which light enters the lens. Light sources such as the sun are often included in ultrawide-angle shots, however, since the R15560 can capture sharp and clear images even in strongly backlit situations, you need only focus on the composition of a photograph.
