This Novoflex QBASE II Arca-Type Compatible Quick Release Clamp can be used to adapt an Arca-type quick release plate to a tripod head, tripod, stand, or support device. A steel bushing is installed within the center of the clamp so that it can be adapted to a 1/4″-20 mount. The bushing can be removed, allowing direct attachment to tripod heads that feature a 3/8″-16 mount.
Arca-type compatible quick release plates can be attached or removed from the Q-Base II by using its rotating lock lever, which features a safety catch to help prevent a compatible plate from accidentally disconnecting. Also, within the recessed surface between the clamp’s jaws is a retaining pin. This pin helps prevent an optional installed Novoflex Q-System quick release plate or another installed Arca-type compatible Q-System component from accidentally sliding off when the safety catch is engaged.
Constructed from aluminium alloy with brass and steel, this clamp is durable while remaining lightweight and includes a built-in bubble level.
