Cokin Z-PRO 164 Circular Polarising Filter - Light rays which are reflected become polarised. Polarising filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colours providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter.
Z-PRO Filters are made of CR39 Resin which is a reputable lightweight and unbreakable optical material also used for ophthalmic glasses. The Z-PRO Series is recommended for focal lengths of 20mm onwards (in the 35mm format).
Features
- This filter eliminates ultraviolet rays from outdoor shots as well as polarising the light to remove reflections, and increase colour saturation, without affecting the overall colour balance
- Can dramatically enhance a blue sky and make the clouds more prominent
- Used best at right angle to the sun
