Dedicated to the Nikon D810 and D800 DSLRs with attached MB-D12 Battery Grip, the BMBD12-L810 L-Plate from Really Right Stuff is an Arca-type compatible plate that facilitates easier, more stable switching between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations when working atop a tripod. The L-shape of the plate also benefits shooting in vertical orientation with panorama nodal slides, for maintaining a consistent nodal point, and shooting in horizontal orientation with side-mount gimbal heads.
The dedicated design maintains full access to the battery door, and the plate is repositionable to promote easier access to the camera's side ports for shooting tethered. The CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminium construction is finished with a Type II black anodising, a 1/4"-20 threaded mounting socket is featured on the base, and laser-engraved centre marks are placed on both axes for easy alignment.
