The SWIT LB-SU98 Sony BP-U Camcorder Battery Pack is designed to replace the Sony BP-U60 battery and is compatible with various Sony camcorders such as the PXW-FX6, FX9, FS7, FS5, PXW-Z280, Z190, and X280. It operates at a nominal voltage of 14.4V and has a capacity of 98Wh / 6.8Ah, allowing it to power the SONY PXW-FX9 camera for approximately 3 hours.
One notable feature of the LB-SU98 is its D-tap DC output socket, located on the side of the battery. This socket allows for the connection of devices that require a DC14.4V power source, such as on-camera LED lights, monitors, or wireless transmitters. By utilising the D-tap socket, these devices can be powered simultaneously with the camera. It is important to note that the maximum power output from the D-tap socket is 70W, with a current of 6A.
Additionally, the D-tap socket can be used to charge the LB-SU98 battery when paired with the SWIT portable charger PC-U130B/B2. This provides a convenient charging solution for the battery, allowing users to keep it powered up and ready for use.
