The StarTech Cisco Compatible Gigabit RJ-45 Mini-GBIC Copper SFP Transceiver Module adds support for 10/100/1000 Mb/s RJ-45 copper Ethernet connections to networking equipment with spare SFP slots. It is built to comply with MSA (Multi-Sourcing Agreement) standards and offers a cost-effective way to add, replace, or upgrade a copper Ethernet port on your 10/100/1000 Base-T networking equipment.

This mini-GBIC features 10/100/1000 Mb/s auto-negotiation at distances up to 328' (100m). It can be installed into any fibre networking devices with an MSA or Cisco compliant SFP port. This copper transceiver is hot-pluggable, allowing you to instal the module without interrupting network traffic or requiring a device reboot, thus delivering convenience and scalability.
