Description

Connect your desktop computer or rackmount device to fibre optic networks using the Gigabit SFP transceiver module of your choice by installing the StarTech PEX1000SFP2 PCIe Gigabit Fiber Network Card with SFP into an available PCIe x1 slot. Featuring an open Gigabit SFP port that supports up to 2 Gb/s full-duplex bandwidth and Auto-MDI/MDIX to automatically optimise cable connections, this network card is ideal for remote video surveillance monitoring systems. Fibre connections are designed to retain full Gigabit network speeds to remote terminals over greater distances compared to copper lines, and they aren't prone to electronic interference.

The PEX1000SFP2's SFP port that is compatible with most Gigabit SFP transceivers. It also includes both a standard bracket and a low-profile bracket for installation into small form-factor computers or 1 RU server and rackmount devices. This network card is compatible with Windows, Windows Server, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems.
