Star-Tech's Composite & S-Video to USB 2.0 Video Capture Adapter Cable makes it easy to capture a signal from a composite or S-video source to your Windows-based computer.
Connect the cable to your computer's USB port and transfer video at up to 720 × 480 at 30 fps or 720 × 576 at 25 fps, along with 2-channel RCA audio. The cable features a USB 2.0 Type-A connector on one end and RCA composite, mini-DIN S-video, and two RCA audio connectors on the other.
Common applications include converting VHS home movies to digital format, recording from analog cameras or older gaming systems, and capturing from a variety of analog devices for streaming. Content is captured in digital MPEG format, including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, or MPEG-4, for editing, viewing, and other uses. The cable also includes a snapshot function that allows you to capture still images from analog video.
Also included for setting up your capture and conversion workflow is Movavi software on a CD for Windows 7–10, with a downloadable link alternatively available upon request from Star-Tech. In addition, the cable features TWAIN-compatible drivers to help ensure compatibility with a wide range of third-party software.
