Sony F55/F5 Cable Protector protects the EVF cable from accidentally being bumped or broken while leaving it easy to remove when desired. It can attach directly to the camera while the original Sony handle is installed by using the 1/4-20 hole and M2.6 tape hook hole making it extremely secure. It will also attach while the Top Plate (F55/F5) is installed by use of the included washers and 1/4-20x5/8 screws.
