OS C400 6K Full-Frame Digital Cinema Camera (Canon RF)
Creators seeking a versatile digital cinema camera with a cinematic look can now turn to the Canon EOS C400 6K Full-Frame Digital Cinema Camera. Featuring a new 6K full-frame, back-illuminated CMOS sensor, the C400 offers three ISO bases (800, 300, and 12,800) to cover a wide range of light levels. This camera combines high-resolution imagery with cine-style and broadcast features, including an optional Cooke/i PL mount, return video, and Super35 and Super16 modes. Solo shooters will also appreciate the Dual-Pixel CMOS AF II, internal ND filters, and compact, lightweight design.
At the heart of the C400 is Canon's new 6K CMOS sensor, which delivers exceptional low noise, increased sensitivity efficiency, and improved 4K imagery through 6K oversampling. The back-illuminated, stacked CMOS sensor enables enhanced light capture technology.
The 6K CMOS sensor offers a choice of three ISO speeds (800, 3200, and 12,800), allowing you to capture both vibrant settings like Times Square or full-sun landscapes, as well as the subtleties of available light scenes such as interiors or nighttime city skylines.
The C400 provides the convenience of quickly dialing in up to 10 stops of ND filtration, making it ideal for cine-style features or on-the-go documentary or event coverage. This near-instant exposure adjustment allows you to maintain your desired depth of field without changing your lens aperture.
When a focus puller is not available, the C400's dual-pixel autofocus function becomes invaluable. The wider area of the back-illuminated CMOS sensor enhances autofocus performance. Intelligent tracking enables precise tracking of subjects' eyes, face, head, and body. Additionally, the C400 offers the ability to detect eyes, face, or body of select animals for nature documentary shooting, regardless of their size or facial orientation.
Ergonomic improvements of the C400 include a new touchscreen LCD, grip, and battery. The LCD mount offers angle and length adjustments for optimal positioning, whether handheld, shoulder-mounted, or on a tripod. The articulated handgrip features a multifunction shoe, three assignable buttons, and secure captive screws for easy mounting and detaching without fear of losing them.
